UOI – How the world works

Central Idea – Energy may be transformed and used in various ways.

In English, I will continue supporting our HRT’s with the new UOI. We will be looking more closely at renewable and non-renewable energy, the use of fossil fuels and the celebration of the annual ‘Earth Day’. We will be working towards our summative assessment at the end of the unit which will take the form of a debate focusing on renewable and non-renewable energy. During the 7 weeks of the inquiry, we will focus on developing speaking and listening skills, reading skills and writing skills as well as relevant spelling, punctuation and grammar topics that will enable us to be successful with the end of unit assessment.
