Grade 4, 5, and 6 students joined a school event, called Religious Camp on the first week of November 2017. It was held on 3 – 4 November at school. Students spent one night at school with their teachers and friends. They were very excited since it was their first experience sleeping with their friends, in addition, it was at school!

The theme of this activity is “You Raise Me Up”. It taught students how to support each other in every single way. They went to school at 3 p.m. and back home at 10 a.m. the next day. They attended some religion sessions with their religion teachers and the guest speaker. Beside that, they altogether did some games on the opening session, led by our beloved principal, Ibu Lita. At night, before sleeping, they also gathered in Amarta and did an activity related to this year religious camp theme: “You Raise Me Up”.  It was conducted by our English teacher, Ms. Maclugash. Students worked together in group building a tower by 40 sticks of spagetthi and 10 marshmallow. The highest tower is the winner; an extraordinary strategy was needed here!

Another fun activity was the morning exercise led by Ibu Thasia and our five religion teachers. All students and teachers did some dancing together. This activity becomes the favorite one since students spend longer time with their friends, they also did fun activities, and last but not least they experience how sleep over in the classroom looks like.
