In November, baby gym students learned five senses. They had a mirror play activity by pointing to their five senses. We also sang some songs related to the theme. In the ‘Obstacles’ game, as the learning experience, they practiced their gross motor skills by climbing on the stairs, walking on the balancing beam and doing ‘teddy bear’ pose on the ladder. After that the students put straws inside a shoe box, they needed to concentrate to put the straws into the shoe box as best they could. This activity contributed to the development of their eye-hand coordination. As a learning experience, students were able to explore and develop their locomotor and non-locomotor skills. They enjoyed those activities very much.
