Symbols, Numbers, and Letters.

Ey1 students know about letters and numbers already. But symbols? They have no idea what symbol is.

So for Language Arts this time, they learned that in a text, for example: a story,  there must be letters, numbers and symbols. They had an activity where the teacher showed a text, and they had to point at the letters and/or numbers. The result? They excel in pointing at numbers and letters. As for the symbols, they had difficulty knowing which to point. But in the end, they could identify symbols as well.

For the next activity, they were given a set of symbols, letters and numbers, and they had to stick it in the certain column.

The result? They had fun doing it with their friends in the same group.
