This week, Nursery students learnt to identify winter season. They watched a video that showed one of the teachers’ vacation in South Korea last December. Before, during, and after watching, the students had a class discussion. They answered teachers questions and mentioned what can be seen in their surroundings, what most people wear, do and use during winter. They identified that in winter people wear jacket, earmuffs, shawl and boots to stay warm. Besides that, they mentioned that during winter, people can ski, play snowball fight, etc.
To go further, they had ice painting activity where they should be able to choose materials and tools, follow procedures, use colorful lines and clear shapes. They had a great time as they giggled a lot when touching those cold cold ice cubes.
