Bringing pets in the classroom and making interaction with them became a wonderful learning experience for the students in Nursery. This activity was in line with our lines of inquiry ‘Responsible behavior when interacting with animals’. To support this activity we invited a veterinarian to come to our class. The vet guided the students to observe the animals even the fleas on the microscope and listen to the cat’s heart beat with a stethoscope. They learnt how to treat pets properly. They had such a great time by feeding cats, interacting with rabbits and even giving vitamin to the cat. They also learnt how to groom those pets.
