Transdisciplinary theme: Who We Are

An inquiry into the nature of the self; beliefs and values; personal, physical, mental, social and spiritual health; human relationships including families, friends, communities and cultures; rights and responsibilities; what it means to be human.

Students will memorize back how to play airwave. In this instrument, they will learn that they able to produce different notes with blow and breath in their breathe.

In this unit student will identified safety equipment needed by specific job and then they will put some color using mosaic technique.

Grade 2 students will learn vocabulary about safety at home through the following activities:

* writing vocabulary “han zi and pin yin” and meaning about safety at home;
* reading these words;
* listening and talking about safety at home; and
* describing own safety at home.

WALT: Write a simple story about their or others’ experiences when they are in danger (Recount)

WILF:

  • establishes the when, where, and who of a recount
  • writes a conclusion
  • Uses linking words
