For the tuning in activity of the new unit, grade 2 students are divided into groups and given some pictures. They have to express what they see, what they think and what they wonder about the picture. After that, they write them down on a graphic organizer and display the around the classroom. Then, they do a gallery walk around the classroom to see the result of other groups’ discussions.
