Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!
To celebrate our beloved country’s Independence Day, SVP 6th graders opened the day by being the flag raising ceremony officers. The appointed officers for this week were students of Gr. 6 Nias. The other grade 6 students of Bali and Lombok were in charge as the choir members. They performed two songs beautifully – the grande Indonesia Raya and the uplifting Hari Merdeka.
We ended the celebratory day by competing in tug of war and sack race. It was a fun day for all of us.
