In this unit, grade 4 students have learned about human body systems. There were five systems that were explored by students, skeletal system, muscular system, digestive system, respiratory and circulatory system.
To support UOI 1 central idea: Human body systems. It is response to how body systems work and healthy lifestyle. Grade 4 students discovered how one system (circulatory system) worked in human body by listening to the explanation from a doctor on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. This session was explained by Kak Fauzan (Ocha), he is a medical student from a university in Indonesia. Kak Ocha explained about the organs working in circulatory system and how blood flow in human body. Students also had discussion about disease related to blood and connection between circulatory system to other systems. Students were listen attentively and excited to ask and answer questions related to the topic. Some students were explained the material in front of the class as a review session.
Grade 4 students were having another session with different doctor on Friday, August 24, 2018. Ibu Dini (Adriel’s Mother) explained about healthy lifestyle to the students. They learned about healthy diet, healthy habit and diseases. Students were inquirer to ask questions related to healthy lifestyle. In the end, Ibu Dini shared some presents for students who were able to give correct answer from the question given.
