1819- Grade 4 Tuning in “Sharing The Planet”

On Monday, 10th December 2018, Grade 4 students started their new Unit of Inquiry: Sharing the Planet. The central idea is Equal access to the Earth’s finite resources provides challenges for the global community.

As the tuning in, students needed to classify ten different pictures into two classifications in groups. The pictures themselves are related to the natural resources, such as coconut oil, fish, wood, coal, gold, sand, gasoline, paddy plant, etc. They needed to discuss what words they used to classify the objects.

Some of the students came up with the idea about Common and Uncommon Things, Human-made and Non Human-made, or even Natural and Non Natural Things. After classifying, they need to present their work and explain the reasons of their classification.
