Theme : Where We Are in Place and Time
An inquiry into orientation in place and time; personal histories; homes and journeys; the discoveries, explorations and migrations of humankind; the relationships between and the interconnectedness of individuals and civilizations, from local and global perspectives.

Central Idea :The Earth’s physical geography determines the way it is explored and where community can be established.

ENGLISH

WALT: To write a newspaper article about a group of explorers reaching the south pole in Antarctica

WILF:

·          Complete a research task about polar exploration

·          Use the facts from my research to plan a newspaper article

·          Write a newspaper article using my research and apply the

criteria for a newspaper article

WALT : We learn about Geography

WILF :

  • Able to describe nature in mandarin with correct pronunciation and tone
  • Able to read hanyu pinyin and Chinese characters about nature

WALT: Types on physical keyboards with ten fingers

WILF:

  1. Position fingers on the home row
  2. Type simple sentences with the correct position of finger       

WALT: presents a report (integrated to Bahasa Indonesia)

WALT : Understand the concept of fraction and length
