Let’s Play Music!

This week EY 1 students learn to play untunned percussion instruments which means that these kinds of instruments have no notes.

“They offer a great variety of tone colour (timbre) but tunes cannot be played on them.”

The kids tried to play some of music instruments that we have in class such as, tambourine, frame drums, bongo drums and cymbals. We sang some traditional songs such as, “Yamko Rambe Yamko”, “Ampar Ampar Pisang”, and “Potong Bebek Angsa.”

It’s great to have a variety of untuned percussion instruments for children to play and experiment with to find out how many sounds they can create! It was so much fun!
