Telling Information Using a Pictograph

A pictogram is a chart that uses pictures to represent data. Picture graphs are an interesting way for students to learn how to count and track data. This week, EY1 students learn to present information using a pictograph. The teachers encouraged the students to collect data about their friends’ favorite fruits. Then, they drew the pictures of the fruits to show the numbers involved. At the end, they had to count the pictures and present the information that they collected. It was fun to see them walking around in the class gathering for information. Great job, kids!
